Our people drive our business, literallyWhilst you won't be on the road, you will be responsible for ensuring all products are handled in accordance with the customer's specification and the inventory and loads are correctly recorded. You will also be responsible for the daily allocation of work tasks, staffing requirements and supervision within the ELA / warehouses. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role and will keep you on your toes.What would you be doing?Daily hand over with previous shift to ensure all special instructions and freight placements are covered offDaily meeting with the Shift Manager to communicate any special instructions or requirements on freight, load outs and to discuss previous shifts issuesDaily toolbox meeting with staffEnsure all process and procedures are followed.Ensure all frozen and export freight is probed and temperatures are recorded on manifestsAll inbound & outbound manifest to be completed in full by loader/unloader and signed off by SupervisorAll outbound manifest must have accurate load plan completed.Daily forklift check sheets to be completed by storemen.Complete Linehaul and Metro stocktakes and bookings by shift's allocated deadlinesEnsure ELA and docks are cleaned after every shift, and rubbish bins emptiedEnsure all MPI documentation is completed dailyQualificationsWhat you'll need to be brilliant:Minimum of 3 years previous experience in a similar role within a transport/warehousing, distribution or transport environmentKnowledge of transport management systems.
