It's a unique opportunity to support solutions that drive real change in our customers' businesses.We're looking for a strong player who can:Deliver impactful solutions, translating complex business needs into clear and actionable reporting solutions that drive real value for clientsBe a team player, working closely with other members of the project team to deliver cross functional data, and reporting and data solutionsContribute to all aspects of reporting projects including analysis and design, build, test, and deploymentBecome a trusted advisor, building strong relationships with clients, and acting as a credible source of information and guidance on all things Power BI and Microsoft FabricDrive project success, managing projects efficiently and adhering to deadlines and budgets while maintaining high-quality standards.The successful candidate will have expertise in Power BI, data modelling, DAX, data transformation, data integration, T-SQL, and familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and Azure.
Consulting capabilities include gathering requirements, documentation, delivery experience, training, and communication skills.
Additional skills in report design, Lakehouse architecture, and other cloud platforms are advantageous.In detail….The successful candidate will have the following technical capabilities:Power BI expertise: In-depth knowledge of Power BI Desktop, Service, and administration, with the ability to design and implement complex data models, reports, and dashboardsData modeling: A strong understanding of dimensional modeling concepts (including Kimball) and best practices for building efficient and scalable data models in Power BIDAX proficiency: The ability to write complex DAX formulas to manipulate and analyse data, creating dynamic and insightful reportsData transformation expertise: Proficiency in Power Query (M) for data cleansing, transformation, and shaping within Power BIData integration: Experience integrating data from various sources (relational databases, cloud storage, APIs) into Power BI using best practices for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT)T-SQL skills: The ability to write efficient T-SQL queries to extract, manipulate and test data from relational databases for use in Power BIMicrosoft Fabric and Azure familiarity: Working knowledge and experience in Microsoft Fabric and the Azure cloud platform, including Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Gen2, and Azure SQL Database.The successful candidate will have the following consulting capabilities:Experience gathering requirements from clients through interviews, workshops, and user stories, ensuring a clear understanding of their needs and goalsExcellent documentation skills including developing functional and technical specifications, as well as assisting with the creation of Statements of Work and providing accurate estimatesVaried delivery experience across a range of agile and waterfall projectsConfidence in designing and delivering effective training sessions for end-users on Power BI and Microsoft Fabric functionalities and best practicesPresents well with clear written and verbal communications.
