The combined business produces over 170,000mt of finished goods which are then exported to over 40 countries, driving annual revenue well in excess of $1.3B - and growing.About The RoleReporting to our Group Risk and Assurance Manager and based in Christchurch (Hornby), we have a rare opportunity to join Westland Milk Products as our Group Internal Auditor, working at a YOBD group level. It's a great opportunity to develop your career further, providing internal audit advice and gaining experience working across a successful group of companies in the NZ Dairy industry.Covering a wide range of systems and processes, this role will give you exposure at all levels, carrying out independent and objective assurance activities by conducting reviews of key business processes and providing quality information to assist business managers to achieve business objectives, manage and control business risk, and comply with regulatory requirements and company policy.The role will champion risk management and internal control disciplines and educate the business on continuous improvement and best practice in this area. As such, the Group Internal Auditor will require exceptional planning and relationship-building skills, good analytical and reporting abilities combined with a proactive and inquisitive approach.Ideal Applicants Will PossessMinimum 2 years' experience in an internal/external auditing role e.g. in a Big 4, large-medium tier CA firm, large corporate or corporate accounting backgroundA tertiary qualification (ideally) + Certified Internal Auditor or Chartered Accountant accreditation would be great (but not essential)A good understanding of risk and control concepts along with the ability to apply these concepts to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of business processes and controls to mitigate riskA good understanding of (and the ability to learn) a wide range of key business processes, including accounting principles and financial statementsStrong analytical and reporting skills and well-developed technical skills in data analyticsThe ability to travel between sites when requiredWhat's in it for you?A competitive base salaryKiwisaverCompany incentive schemeHealth insuranceLife insuranceFree parkingCareer developmentEmployee assistance & wellbeing programsEnhanced parental leave provisions+ Delicious discounted grass-fed butterThis is a rare and exciting opportunity to join a large and complex organisation as its group companies continue to evolve and synergise.
