Postgraduate education and training in Neur-opsychology required; 3.
Vocationally registered with the New Zealand Psychologists Board as a Psychologist with clinical scope; 4.
Excellent team orientated, communications, treatment, testing, diagnoses and treatment skills that are directly applicable to treating neurological disorders and related injuries; 5.
Able and willing to commit at least two years or longer; 6.
Has existing NZ work authorisation or meets all of the requirements for a work visa; 7.
Excellent report writing and neuro-psychological assessment, behaviour management expertise; 8.
Has the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging work environment being part of a diverse, multi-disciplinary team setting; 9.
Experienced in working in a Whanau or extended family setting assisting clients and their loved ones in emotionally adjusting to challenges presented by their family members receiving treatment; 10.
Able and willing to work in an intensive, inpatient setting; 11.
Able to mentor less senior members of the team while sharing your knowledge base assisting in leading improvements to clinical practices on a continuous basis leverage your technical depth of expertise to help develop and grow others; 12.

Primary responsibilities include but may not be limited to: A.
Be part of a specialist provider of intensive brain injury rehabilitation serving around 85% of New Zealand's population having achieved accreditation with CARF international and an international gold standard for person centred quality rehabilitation for their clients; B.
Engage in a number of research projects that may require your input from a therapeutic perspective; C. Assist clients in achieving their maximum level of functioning and independence with all aspects of their day-to-day living; D. Provide a perspective from your neuro-psychological background and experience within an interdisciplinary team setting; E. Contribute to the effective and efficient management of therapeutic services and services in line with agreed service policies and procedures; F. Participate in ongoing staff training and programmers as requested; G. Engage in neuro-psychology research activities; H. Participate and actively engage in continuous quality improvements through your innovative, out-of-the-box thinking that has proved to be effective for clients by streamlining clinical services and practices and applying best practices; I.
Informed of and able to comply with and adhere to the Code of Ethics as defined by the New Zealand Psychological Society; J.
Maintain ongoing, continuing education maintaining your level of competence in accordance with New Zealand Psychologists Board's guidelines; K. Undertake neuro-psychological assessments; L. Write comprehensive assessment reports that conform to ACC contractual requirements; M. Plan effective therapy and evaluate outcomes within a traumatic/acquired brain injury/neurological rehabilitation setting; N. Utilise evidence-based practices within the rehabilitation decision-making process ensuring the most effective and safest options are utilised when defining psychology interventions; O.
Work in a self-directed, flexible manner demonstrating excellent time management and organisational skills; P. Collaborate effectively through communicating openly, clearly and honestly with others; and Q.
Assume an educative role both within the interdisciplinary team but also the clients and their families.
