Our clients include livestock professionals and veterinary specialists, and we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality results that can be relied on.About the RoleWe are seeking a part-time Laboratory Technician for a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover parental leave. Reporting to the Acting Laboratory Manager, you will play a key role in delivering accurate diagnostic results through ELISA serological and PCR molecular testing, along with other diagnostic procedures as required.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform ELISA and PCR testing to support diagnostic services.Maintain laboratory hygiene, equipment, and supplies.Assist the Acting Laboratory Manager with daily operations.Maintain accurate and up-to-date laboratory records.Support laboratory certification requirements (e.g., MPI RLP, Biosecurity New Zealand, and IANZ).About YouTo excel in this role, you will have:A tertiary science degree in a relevant field.A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering accurate results.Experience with ELISA and PCR technologies in a laboratory setting (highly desirable).Strong organisational skills and the ability to maintain laboratory standards.Working HoursIdeally, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday each week.
