About the Role The Charge Nurse Manager is responsible for the management of the Intellectual Disability services including clinical leadership and co-ordination, operational functions, quality and financial performance, human resource management, quality and risk management, and quality, clinical pathway development and other service delivery improvements within the ward/unit/service.
Working in partnership with clinical and other staff, the Charge Nurse Manager will contribute to strategic and operational management in a way that is consistent with the organisation's vision and values.

About you Our ideal candidate will have:
A current Registered Nursing APCStrong clinical leadership and management skills and experienceProven experience working within the Mental Health sectorPost graduate diploma in a relevant fieldAdvanced communication techniques including conflict resolution, diffusion and mediation skillsStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to be flexible and innovativeA clear understanding of the principles underpinning mental health and addiction assessment and treatmentCompetency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growthExperience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
