HNZ leads the day-to-day running of the health system, with functions delivered at local, district, regional and national levels.About the role:We are looking for an individual who is committed to the development of nurses and nursing practice to join us in the People and Professional Development Team.
This exciting opportunity is available for an enthusiastic, confident and competent individual with expertise in the area of Haematology nursing including chemotherapy administration.
As a successful candidate you will work within Medicine and ED Professional Development team, with the primary responsibility of providing expertise and support in assessment, planning and delivery of professional development activities for staff within and across services as well as the wider health community.The Professional Development Team strives to support the organisation by equipping and empowering our nursing workforce to deliver the highest quality patient and whaanau centred care.The successful applicant will:Be a skilled and credible practitioner always striving to improve standards of practiceBe a confident and competent communicatorBe able to create effective working relationships across a variety of arenasBe able to demonstrate good time management and manage workload independentlyBe creative, intuitive and actively seek opportunities for the development of practiceBe able to empower, facilitate and support development in othersBe experienced in delivering professional development and learning activitiesHave commitment and passion for the essentials of nursingBe a NZ registered nurse with a current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)Have a minimum of five years clinical experience with at least 4 years' experience in haematology nursing in NZBe at least a proficient level nurse demonstrating leadership and have conducted some postgraduate educationHave an understanding of haematology/oncology chemotherapies and be cytotoxic trainedIf you are a driven and compassionate healthcare professional looking for a rewarding opportunity, we would love to hear from you
