We are looking for someone who can help develop economic advice by bringing policy, analytical and strategic thinking skills to bear on issues that help determine New Zealand's economic performance.
Economic Strategy & Insights is part of the Economic Growth branch in MBIE's Labour, Skills & Enterprise group.Why work for us?It is an exciting time to be working in economic strategy.

The team is in a unique position to develop new thinking and provide advice to Government on how to lift economic growth in the short term and to improve New Zealand's productivity over the longer-term.The roleWorking in the Economic Strategy & Insights team, you will have the opportunity to:Build a strong understanding of New Zealand's economic system and shape MBIE's advice on the economyPush the boundaries of economic thinking and focus on New Zealand's long-term futureWork within a multidisciplinary team with a diverse work programmeBuild strong links across the organisation and the economic systemNga pukenga me nga wheako e hiahiatia ana -Skills and Experience RequiredTo work in this role you'll need to be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, love an intellectual challenge and won't be afraid of ambiguity.
