The world is fast changing, and the needs of whanau raising tamariki have changed dramatically in recent years.
Our community services provide supplementary support to our clinical teams to support holistic whanau wellness, provide helpful services and supporting stronger community bonds.We're seeking a dynamic Community Services Coordinator to join our team in Wanaka on a part time (15 hours per week) permanent basis, the hours of work can be negotiated within business hours.Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunityOur Community Services Coordinators ensure our community-based initiatives such as our parenting groups and programmes run smoothly, and our volunteers are well supported.
You will have the opportunity to build connections with local community groups to develop initiatives that promote healthy confident whanau and pepi.To support these initiatives, you might support events and fundraising initiatives and work alongside other Plunket Teams.
This role involves ensuring our volunteers are prepared, informed and feel connected to our Kaupapa.This varied role requires a degree of flexibility which could be the perfect match for your needs.
Working across the region (with some travel between locations), at events and with volunteers means that the day to day needs will change, and there may be some weekend work a few times a year, but the mahi also allows flexibility to work from home from time to time.The pay rate for this role is $27.80 per hour.He korero mou | About youTo thrive in this role, you will be confident in engaging with local groups and be able to effectively build relationships with whanau.
You will have had prior experience working in a role where you built positive relationships and were able to diagnose needs before working towards a solution.This could mean that you are a parent who has a deep understanding of the needs of whanau in your community and you're looking to get into a role that allows you to deliver on this.
