THE COMPANY:   We are currently working with a large Canterbury owned Civil Construction business, with a number of branches across the South Island who are on the hunt for their next long term worker
THE GIG:   We are looking for a skilled Machine Operator to work out of Hornby/Islington, capable of operating 1.5T-12T Diggers, that holds WTR and ideally a Class 2 License, to join a medium sized team, working on a range of Civil projects offering variety and progression.
In this role, you will be working on Roading Sites, but at times will be involved in Underpass/Culvert works, along with some irrigation scheme work where previous Drainage or Three Waters experience would be beneficial.
In this position, you will be working Monday to Friday, 7am-5/530pm although at times you will be working in the wider Canterbury region, which could see you returning to the yard after 6pm from time to time.
THE GOODS: $30-32 per hour starting rate Full PPE provided Ability to undertake further training and development Down to earth, hardworking team Opportunity to secure a permanent role.

You will be successful if the following sounds like you: Proven experience as a Machine Operator in a similar role.
Class 2 or Higher Licence WTR endorsements Ability to operate 1.5T-12T Diggers Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
Can pass a drug screen.
Present well and understand you are representing the client on the day.
