Civil and Land Construction is looking for a Civil Estimator/Project Manager to work with our established team in Canterbury.The role will see you responsible for pricing projects, tracking progress against the quoted price, variations, and forecasting future workload. You will provide accurate project descriptions with clear definitions in scope, methodology, and technical expertise to the operations team to enable them to complete the tasks productively and to a high standard. You will need to price and win sufficient jobs to ensure team productivity is met while delivering margin objectives, ensuring client service expectations are managed 100% of the time.The ideal candidate will have a background in the civil construction industry and estimating civil and drainage work and be able to prove the following skills:A high degree of computer literacyEffective time managementEffective communication skills including negotiation and conflict resolutionAbility to build strong relationships internally and externallyFinancial management of projectsCoordination of multiple tenders across a diverse range of civil projectsPricing from first principles for a wide range of projects which include: Roading, Stormwater, Utilities, Structures, Subdivisions & EarthworksBack costingDisplay agility, accuracy & resilience under pressureA collaborative and engaging manner – a team playerExperience in Roading, Stormwater, Utilities, Structures, Subdivisions & Earthworks.Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management or similarMinimum of 3+ years experience in civil constructionSound knowledge of construction methods, materials, and build codesExperience preparing tendersStrong work ethic and positive attitudeRight to work in NZYour application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in New Zealand?How many years of estimating experience do you have?Do you have experience preparing and submitting tenders?Which of the following Microsoft Office products are you experienced with?Do you have experience working on civil infrastructure projects?How many years of project management experience do you have?
