A Senior Full Stack Developer is a pivotal software development role, working within a cohesive cross-discipline scrum team on the product backlog. You will be working alongside developers of intermediate and senior ability, as well as other team members and consultants.We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer who is passionate about front-end development. This role requires a dedication to technical excellence, not only in writing code, but also in team collaboration, testing, and documentation. Good communication skills are essential, as well as a "can-do" attitude and willingness to work across various disciplines if required.You will be part of a team who are growing the capabilities and services in the Visa Spend Clarity to deliver scalable and robust solutions that will take Visa Spend Clarity to more customers and users around the globe. With an engineering group of nearly 300 people, Visa Spend Clarity is a key focus area with large growth ambitions driven by customer needs and a desire to innovate using modern cloud technologies.Areas of AccountabilityDevelop .NET, SQL, React and related front-end codeParticipate in technical design in collaboration with other developers, architects, and UX designersFollow coding style standards and guidelinesWrite unit and integration automation testsShare knowledge with other team membersContribute to improving team Agile processesParticipate in active learning with an open mindThis is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.Minimum RequirementsA good understanding of the Microsoft technology stack and how it could relate to Visa Spend ClarityYou should have experience with the following technologies:.NET and .NET Core/Standard development in C#REST based Web API'sMicrosoft SQL ServerNET MVC 5, HTML, CSS, web standards (WAI-ARIA)JavaScript, React, AngularJSA good understanding of supplementary technology areas.Experience with design Patterns (CQRS, MVC, MVVM Repository etc.)Experience with enterprise scale multi-tenant Cloud/SaaS web environmentsExperience with source control (e.g., Git, Subversion) and continuous integration (e.g., TeamCity.)Experience with DDD, TDD, SOLID principlesGood team collaboration skills and communication skills.Good relationship building skills.Open mind to learning skills and development processes.Valuable Experience5+ years' experience in professional software developmentExperience with transactional systems (e.g., banking, finance, telecommunications, etc.)Financial industry experienceIdeally tertiary qualified with appropriate certificationsExperience with Agile frameworks such Scrum or KanbanAbility to navigate complexity by quickly making sense of complex issues and ambiguity by seeking to clarify and isolate into the most important elementsLeadership experience in inspiring others to use appropriate techniques and actions to move toward higher levels of performanceDemonstrable experience of balancing commercial and technical considerations to achieve business outcomesBuilding and running internal platforms with a Product Led mindsetTroubleshooting and performance optimization experience, especially on production systemsWorking with enterprise distributed systems and SaaS applicationsSoftware delivery in regulated compliance-based environmentsImplementation of greenfield projects and evolution of legacy systems and processesVisa is an EEO Employer.
