We work as one team, empowering each other to promote community inclusion and self-determination for those we walk alongside.We are seeking an experienced registered health professional to join our Palmerston North Team as an AOD Recovery Practitioner working in a permanent role Monday to Friday.This is a part-time role in Tararua College, working 25 hours a week. However, for the right person, it could be a full-time role split between Tararua College and the Monarch program in Palmerston North.Skills and Experience:Hold a registration under the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance (HPCA) Act or have a recognised qualification with a current registration and annual practicing certificate (Social Work - Dapaanz - Psychology).Working towards a relevant degree and obtaining DAPAANZ Registration. Follow the principles of Enabling Good Lives and Whanau Ora.Be culturally responsive and honour Te Tiriti principles of Rangatiratanga.Have a good sense of humour.Provide comprehensive clinical assessments and deliver tailored therapeutic interventions.Experience working in the mental health and addictions sector or a relatable field with an understanding of professional boundaries and practice ethics.Understanding of group dynamics and be confident with experience in group facilitation; ability to facilitate therapeutic groups.Have a thorough understanding and ability to apply motivational interviewing techniques and various counselling modalities.Applications for the above roles will be reviewed as they are received, so the role may close earlier if the right applicant is found.MASH Trust is not an accredited Employer and therefore cannot use The Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV) process.
