Are you committed to achieving positive outcomes for others?Are you flexible enough to work in a dynamic, rewarding environment?Are you ready to make a real difference?Position: Support Worker (Children's Residential)Location: South West Complex CareHourly Rate: £13.40 - £14.22 (dependant on experience/qualifications)Overtime Rate: 1.25Contract: 25 hours per week (Late shifts: 4pm - 11pm)Shift Pattern: Two-week rolling rota with every second weekend offWeek 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, SundayWeek 2: Wednesday, Thursday, FridaySenior Support WorkerWe are the Cambian Group, the largest independent provider of care and education for children and young people.Cambian employees are friendly, supportive and all focused on achieving the best outcomes for everyone involved with our brand.The young people in our care range between the ages of 8-18 years and have a range of behavioural and emotional needs.We are looking for enthusiastic, energetic, flexible and caring people to join our team across the South West region to continue improving the lives of the young people within our care.As a Senior Support Worker, you will be involved in all aspects of their everyday lives and the positive impact you will have is immeasurable.In addition to a £500 Refer a Friend Scheme - we offer:Completely free on-shift meals and parkingTraining and Development Plans to meet your individual needs including NVQs and Career progression opportunitiesPaid Sickness LeaveAdditional Overtime/On-Call/Sleep-in/Disturbance RatesCasual Dress CodeCompany PensionSimply Health (Linked to Service)Days out and Activity days off siteManagement Development Programme to take those interested from Support Worker to Registered Manager and beyondOf course, no day is the same here at the Cambian Group, however here is what a day in the life of one of our Senior Support Workers could look like:Leading shifts and deputising for the Registered Manager where requiredEnsuring that our incredible team of Residential Care Workers are up to date with all mandatory learning and assisting with their individual developmentCommunicating with the on-site team and raising awareness regarding individual care plans and their implementationMaintaining accurate written records in logs, continuation sheets and files both to record information and enable regular monitoring and evaluationContributing to team and staff meetings to facilitate good communication and staff developmentProviding support and care to the young people within our servicesEncouraging our young people in their preparation to re-enter education or to engage in their current schoolingTraveling with our young people to and from School or CollegePreparing food at meal times and maintaining the home (cleaning, laundry etc.) throughout the day to ensure a wonderful environment for the young people in our careOrganising and facilitating social activitiesThis is not an exhaustive list and of course a full job specification is available.Within this service, we support young people of mixed age and gender and continually have incredible successes.
