Operations Manager – Christchurch Adventure ParkAre you an experienced leader who thrives in dynamic environments?Join the team at Christchurch Adventure Park — one of New Zealand's most unique outdoor adventure destinations.We're looking for an Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of the Park.
This is a hands-on, people-focused leadership role where you'll manage operational teams, ensure health & safety standards, and keep everything running smoothly — from our trails to our lifts.You'll be a key leader within the team, working closely with the General Manager and other departments to deliver an exceptional guest experience while keeping our people safe and our park humming.About the RoleReporting to the General Manager, you'll lead the Lift Operations, Patrol, Maintenance, and Trail teams to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality experiences for guests and staff alike.Your responsibilities will include:Managing day-to-day operations across key departmentsLeading and developing operational supervisors and their teamsEnsuring strong health & safety systems, emergency readiness, and risk managementManaging park infrastructure, equipment, and vehicle maintenanceOverseeing the design, construction, and upkeep of mountain bike trailsCoordinating with suppliers, contractors, and regulatory bodiesContributing to planning, reporting, budgeting, and overall strategyAbout YouYou'll be someone who thrives in an ever-changing environment, brings a calm and capable leadership style, and loves working with people and the outdoors.You'll Have:Proven leadership experience in an operations role — tourism, adventure preferredA strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations in a high-risk settingExcellent Project and budget management experienceStrong understanding of the environment, pest control, erosion & sediment managementGreat communication and a collaborative, people-first mindsetThe ability to lead during pressure moments, especially in emergency situationsFlexibility to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays as requiredYou'll Also Need:A current First Aid certificateA full New Zealand driver's licenceThe legal right to work in New ZealandWhy Work at Christchurch Adventure Park?This is more than a job — it's a lifestyle.
