We are therefore seeking a Team Leader with a fun-loving personality and an affinity for operating machinery safely who can multi-task and lead a team with a smile on their face.

This is a seasonal position, reporting to the Lifts Head of Department.About the roleAssist the HOD in the smooth safe operation of lifts and car park dutiesMulti-task, problem solve and work well under pressureActively work in the operation - assisting guests on and off chairlifts safely, checking passes, managing queues, operating lift machinery, assisting with car park dutiesMotivate and develop the staff to embrace leadershipAbout YouYou will lead and develop the team, ensuring that safe, fun, and world-class service is delivered for both our staff and our guestsYou will bring strong organisational skills paired with a practical and innovative approach to problem-solving and task management.Proven ability to work under pressure in a team environmentHigh levels of energy and the ability to quickly build a rapport with all guests and staff, coupled with strong leadership skillsHealth & safety conscious and a good record in this areaComfortable working outside in variable conditions, and available for early shifts as requiredBasic computer and administration skillsWorking knowledge of ski area equipment and a sound mechanical background is an advantageFurther InformationPlease note: This role may be based at Coronet Peak or The Remarkables in Queenstown.As Kaitiaki of the mountains, we have an enduring commitment to our environment, people, and communities to ensure they benefit from our presence, and as proud supporters of Winter Pride, we've pledged to continue to provide a working environment that embraces and values diversity and inclusion.Uniform for all roles is provided (just bring your own base layers).A few other reasons to join our Coronet Peak, The Remarkables, and Mt Hutt crew:3 Peak winter season pass (Full Time crew)Discounted day passes at other ski areasTransport to/from mountainsFantastic wellbeing support for all staffNutritional hot crew meals each day (Discounted)Discounts at many local eateries, bars, breweries, and retail outletsDiscounts on mountainRegularly organised social activities off mountainCool recognition programmes with prizesEarn and learn – free ski lessons (Full Time crew)
