They have now been through their launch phase and are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead the team and ensure the success of their new venture, making it "the spot for locals.
"Job Description: As the General Manager, you will be the driving force behind the success of this venue.
You are the go-to person on the ground but have support in Taranaki for administrative tasks like payroll, contracts, marketing, and social media.
You will oversee all aspects of operations on the ground, from hands-on restaurant management and training to ensuring the implementation of systems and processes.
Your leadership will be critical in creating an inviting and memorable environment for staff and guests.
We are looking for someone who is ambitious and a pleasure to work with.Key Responsibilities:Working on the floor/running shifts – this is a fundamental part of the roleLead and manage all daily operations of the venue to ensure efficiency and excellence in serviceRecruit, train, and supervise a diverse and talented teamDevelop and implement operational policies and proceduresManage budgets, financial reports, and forecasts to ensure financial healthFoster a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and high performanceEnsure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirementsDevelop and maintain relationships with guests, vendors, and stakeholdersInnovate and implement marketing and promotional strategies to drive business growthHandle guest feedback and resolve issues to ensure guest satisfactionOversee live music events, upmarket bistro dining, and pizza service to ensure high-quality offeringsPromote their personally brewed beers as well as other local offerings and create a welcoming atmosphere for localsQualifications:Proven experience as a General Manager or a strong Restaurant Manager in a similar leadership role within the hospitality industryStrong understanding of hospitality management best practices and relevant laws and guidelinesExcellent organisational and leadership skillsOutstanding communication and interpersonal abilitiesPassion for live music, upmarket dining, and local craft beersWhat We Offer:Competitive salary with a pathway to equity after six months for the right candidateOpportunity to lead a new and exciting hospitality venueCareer growth and development opportunitiesA supportive and collaborative work environmentThe chance to make a significant impact and shape the future of their newest venueHow to Apply: Interested candidates are invited to submit their resume and a cover letter detailing their relevant experience and why they are the perfect fit for this role.
