With a large hospital campus at Palmerston North, it also provides key health care and support services to neighbouring communities.About the RoleWe are seeking a qualified and experienced Medical Imaging Technologist for a temporary fixed term part-time position (Maternity Leave) within Medical Imaging, Palmerston North Hospital.
The position includes rotation through all shifts and provides coverage for General X-Ray, Theatre, ED, and Mobiles.
Interventional Radiology experience would be an asset.
Site specific orientation will be provided as required.This role is 20 hours per week and hours and days will be negotiated.You will be joining a team of around 60 MIT's: including MRI, CT, General, NM and Sonographers.Some of your responsibilitiesConducting all patient examinations to a high standardMaintaining accurate patient data and ensuring all administrative processes are complete including paperwork for all exams.Practicing procedures in an ethical and professional manner, ensuring health and safety regulations are metProviding supervision for MIT students (as required).We are a teaching hospital, offering a very supportive learning environment, encouraging professional development and education.About YouTo be successful in this role, you will apply your knowledge and professionalism to maintain clinical excellence and outstanding patient care.
