About the role This is a full-time, permanent position reporting to the Manager - Future Security and Resilience (FSR).
Transitioning to a net zero emissions economy will require a material increase in renewables, presenting new challenges to the operation of, and investment in the electricity market.
The focus of the FSR team is to ensure New Zealand's power system remains secure and resilient as we transition to a low-emissions system.
In your role, you will support this transition through contributing to key transformational projects.
This role provides a unique opportunity to contribute to drafting Code amendments to ensure fit-for purpose regulations that enable new technologies and address the challenges of bi-directional power flows in an evolving power system.
This is a newly created role to join a high performing and agile team committed to excellence and making a real difference.
Minimum Requirements: A relevant qualification preferably with an economics backgroundA can-do attitude with a high level of initiativeExcellent written and verbal communications skillsAnalytical and critical thinking skillsFamiliarity with the electricity industry is preferred but not essentialWhy work for us?
