With 600 Resident Doctors employed at Waitaha Canterbury, you will join a team committed to serving their community.Ko wai koe | About YouWe are seeking non-training Surgical Registrars to join us from 28 July 2025.The first 6 months of this position will be in General Surgery with runs for the 2026 RMO to be confirmed through run allocations during the 2025 RMO year.Non-training Surgical Registrars rotate through the below services:General SurgeryOphthalmologyOrthopaedicsPaediatricsUrologyVascular, Endovascular and TransplantRuns are 6 months long with the majority of runs providing points for surgical training applications.Minimum Requirements:Completed PGY2 year or equivalent.Completion of your General Surgical Science Examination (GSSE) would be advantageous.A keen passion for surgery.You will have experience in a number of Surgical Services.Knowledge and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and how the principles can be applied to health.A willingness to grow and further develop an equity lens and skillset, both to assist Maori and minority groups.You must be eligible for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
