Psychiatric training in Christchurch is run in conjunction with the Department of Psychological Medicine at the University of Otago - Christchurch Clinical School.You will:Gain experience in general psychiatry and a variety of sub-specialties.Join a supportive, cohesive group of registrars.Receive excellent support from consultant supervisors.Participate in a training program that works in close collaboration with an internationally recognised research department (The Otago University Department of Psychological Medicine).Live in a vibrant city, with hills, beaches, and ski fields a short drive from Christchurch City.Previous experience in psychiatry is an advantage but not necessary.You must be eligible for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
