The team is young, flexible and dynamic, with a big work programme.
Our people are located across the country and we operate a "matrix management" model in order to support a wider work programme in the Building System Performance Branch.The team currently has two key focus areas:Reviewing seismic risk management in existing buildings under the earthquake-prone building system which is regulated by the Building Act 2004.
This Review is considering how well the current system for managing seismic risk in existing buildings is working, identifying problems, assessing options, and providing recommended actions.Providing policy advice and giving effect to key decisions on the climate change work programme for building and construction and supporting the government's wider priorities on transitioning New Zealand to a low emissions economy in a market-led and cost-effective way.
