Principal Advisor - Government Services, Parliamentary Advice and Coordination at Ministry of Health, WellingtonWellington based with hybrid working availableUse your political nous and strong engagement skillsMidpoint of $140,938, dependent on experienceKo ake mahi - What you'll do The role of Principal Advisor Government Services is responsible for supporting the Government Services Team to continuously improve its services and drive performance, which includes the management of Official Information Act requests, ministerial correspondence, Select Committee work, and parliamentary questions.
You will also assist managers and provide support to the Ministry's Private Secretaries.
This role is based in the Parliamentary Advice and Coordination Team but also works across the Government Services teams and faces out to the Ministry and stakeholders.
Expert knowledge of the machinery of governmentExperience working to a Senior level with ministerial offices and senior leadersPolitical nous and strong engagement skillsThe ability to comfortably work at pace and meet deadlinesAt Manatu Hauora – Ministry of Health we are the kaitiaki of the health system, providing leadership and driving strategy and performance.

The Parliamentary Advice and Coordination team is responsible for supporting our Ministers and the Ministry with meeting accountability, scrutiny, and reporting requirements.
