We provide expert advice on how technology can be leveraged to support Police's strategies and turn concepts into reality through collaborative development.The ICT Portfolio Enablement Lead oversees the delivery of complex and varied ICT project portfolios.
This position ensures alignment between ICT strategies and business goals, optimizes resource use, and implements effective portfolio management practices.This role enhances governance, manages portfolio-level risks and issues, and tracks business benefits.
It involves close collaboration with internal stakeholders and strategic partners to drive performance and achieve strategic ICT objectives.Key Responsibilities:Manage the Corporate Products Portfolio of projects with an in-depth knowledge of portfolio management, managing delivery schedules, funding, and interdependencies.Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with processes and alignment with business expectations.Develop a thorough understanding of portfolio-level benefits, measure performance, and ensure the delivery of intended outcomes.Identify and manage strategic risks and mitigate risks in a digital environment.What you'll bring:Minimum of seven years in portfolio or project management, with at least five years in a technology environment and three years managing portfolios.High standards of leadership and drive portfolio performance through monitoring and reporting.Strong financial acumen to deliver complex analysis to support substantial investment decisions.Strategic and conceptual thinking and ability to lead and influence without formal authority.Proactive and self-managing results-oriented approach.Special requirements:This role is based between RNZPC in Papakowhai, Porirua and PNHQ Wellington.
Some domestic travel may be required.Applicants must be a NZ Citizen, Resident or have valid work rights for NZ in order to apply.Tertiary degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.Professional certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is required.Additional certifications in Portfolio Management (e.g., PgMP, MSP, P3M) is preferred.This role is set at Strategic Leader level, which means your key purpose is to lead the strategy, Our Business, and enable our people to deliver it.About usNew Zealand Police is the lead agency responsible for preventing crime and enhancing community safety.
