Join us at Tradify Limited as a Mobile Technical Lead, where you will play a crucial role in leading the development of our mobile solutions that empower tradespeople.
We are dedicated to transforming how tradespeople manage their businesses and improve their lives, and we are looking for an innovative engineer to help us in this mission.The Technical Lead will provide specialist technical guidance to projects and peers around the design and delivery of Tradify software.
You will provide exceptional solutions by engaging with peers to understand requirements, undertake development, and deliver solutions while working with peers and internal customers to ensure successful outcomes.
As the technical lead, you will oversee cycles, analyse briefs, write progress reports, identify risks, and develop work schedules.Plan, design and lead the technical aspects of projectsProvide guidance and support to the team in resolving solutionsDocument architecture and design technical solutions to achieve business objectivesProduce specifications and determine operational feasibilityIntegrate software components into a fully functional software systemDesign and maintain highly usable solutions focussed on high levels of efficiency, reliability and always with design, configuration and test-driven best practiceUnderstand the current technology landscape and how we leverage our technology investmentActively seek to produce value by building the right thing to provide the right business outcomesSupport and guide less experienced members of the teamCollaborate with product owners, lead architects and development managers to build out the capabilities on development and DevOps internallyFind effective ways to improve the responsiveness and flexibility of solutions that empowers our business usersEnsure you and the wider team are adding value by genuinely taking ownership of the systems it designs and delivers.
Design and develop business functionality while improving code quality and infrastructureBuild scalable, unit-testable solutions for our website applications and do code reviewsChampion a culture of good security, coding standards, architecture patterns, resiliency, and documentation practicesWork across all phases of the software development lifecycle (planning, design, implementation, deployment, operations, and support)Lead a cross-functional team to understand requirements, do product backlog grooming, sprint planning, execution, and retrospectiveCommunicate effectively and efficiently with all Engineering team members and promote a strong sense of teamworkMentor and coach other developers and be able to collaborate with offshore teams while leading technology direction and improving the codebaseUpdate the management team on the overall project, risks, and technology issues and propose suitable alternativesImplement constant efficiency improvement & problem-solving processesLead technical innovation and automation for the services provided to customersOrganize technical teams, distribute work and monitor progress, quality assurance, and performance, in a multidisciplinary team environmentWork closely with the Project Managers on the planning and execution of program development activitiesAssist the Development Lead and CTO in optimizing production team efficiencyTeam leadership: supervise developers, issue follow-up and ownership, and balance work among team members according to skills and individual workloadDetermining project requirements and developing work schedules for the teamDelegating tasks and achieving daily, weekly, and monthly goalsLiaising with team members, management, and clients to ensure projects are completed to standardCommunication: information gathering, status reports creation, issue-solving recommendations, providing technical guidance to other team membersRequirements8+ years developing software applications with at least 3 years in senior/technical leadership roles and at least 3 years of commercial experience with ReactHas demonstrated experience in working and integrating with SaaS productDemonstrated understanding and experience in modern development techniquesProven track record in being a trusted advisor to customersConfident communicator who can explain digital ideas clearly to non-technical audiences and work effectively with non-technical colleaguesA relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent knowledge, skills, and experienceAgile and DevOps delivery methodology/experience is desiredModels the desired values and culture of the organisationWillingly shares knowledge, expertise and within the team and with others in the organisationActs with honesty and integrityBenefitsTradify is a fast-paced, action-oriented and sometimes unpredictable and challenging work environment, where our company values underpin everything we do.
