Do you have a passion for visual design and seeing your work being used daily by industry leaders?What You Will DoAs a UI/UX Designer at Trimble, you will be working on a global team with other junior and senior designers.
You will be assisting senior designers by detailing the UI/UX deliverables for our given stakeholders.
You will play a crucial role in supporting our product teams within Christchurch and the US based teams.
This role will work closely with our central Trimble User Experience group to ensure common visuals and experience across product portfolios.We offer a supportive and fun UX team, access to a growing UX/UI infrastructure, such as a central style guide and pattern library, and guidance through a lead UX/UI designer.
You will be exposed to a number of applications and design challenges, working with stakeholders and development teams across the globe.
This is a position for a junior designer who is looking to learn about the challenges of instituting the UX process with a team of designers, PM's and developers, while working on well-defined design tasks.Things You Will Be DoingWork with the lead designer to take high-level designs and design decisions and turn them into development ready mock-upsLeverage component and pattern libraries from Trimble's Modus Design System to apply existing design guidelinesDetail designs in Figma and AdobeUse Jira and GSuite to deliver design specificationsWrite UI/UX spec documentationAnswer development and QA chats/emails and call for design clarificationAssist with conducting usability testingBecome part of a team of designers who follow the entire discovery-concept-design-support UX processParticipate in UX team meetings and learn about other projects.What Skills & Experience You Should BringAn undergraduate degree in user experience design, human computer interaction, interaction design, or any related design discipline1-3 years of experience as a junior designer and a compelling portfolio to prove itSome experience with UX inside an Agile environmentAttention and love for beautiful detailTeam spiritAn eagerness to learn about all things UX/UICapacity to learn by doing, and willingness to accept directionWillingness to contribute your own creativity and originalityFluency with common design products such as Figma and Adobe Creative SuiteExperience with user research and usability testing.Nice to have for this roleExperience in 3D modeling and visualization, construction, or heavy machineryKnowledge of site visualization for 2D & 3D interrogation, jobsite project management, and machine/device utilization, reporting and management for a better experience from the construction site to the cloud.About Your LocationBased at Trimble's NZ headquarters in Christchurch, New Zealand (handily located on the Little River Link Cycleway), enjoy free parking, securely covered bike sheds, an onsite gym, showers, an active social club, and a great team environment where people love working with leading technology solutions.Along with an industry-competitive salary, enjoy additional benefits like medical insurance, life insurance, access to our Employee Stock Purchase Plan, and more.
