Through integration and collaboration, we're building a health system underpinned by partnership, equity, sustainability, whanau-centred care, and excellence.About the RoleHawke's Bay Fallen Soldiers' Memorial Hospital is searching for an Ophthalmology Registrar to join our Ophthalmology Department which offers supportive working conditions and is committed to excellent teaching.The successful candidate could look to commence from May or July 2025.About the Team/Service/LocationWorking within a team of 5 Registrars, you will have the full support of 3 Specialist Consultants and work closely with 1 House Officer.
While enjoying a wide variety of inpatient cases, you will also be expected to attend Outpatients and work in the Surgical Ward, Operating Theatre, Acute Admissions Unit, and the Emergency Department.
There may also be some need to attend outpatient clinics in peripheral units within Hawke's Bay.Hawke's Bay Fallen Soldiers' Memorial Hospital is situated in Hastings on the east coast of the North Island of New Zealand.
It is a large, secondary level, 400-bed accredited public facility providing acute and elective care for a region of over 176,000 people.We have most major medical and surgical subspecialties on site (except cardiothoracic and neurosurgery), as well as paediatrics and O&G.
