As part of the People & Culture team, you will be involved in an exciting transformation journey, helping to shape new ways of working and promoting collaboration across teams.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with the Chief People Officer (CPO) and other stakeholders to provide data-driven insights to improve people system performance.
Provide key workforce insights and ensure accurate, timely reporting for leadership and statutory requirements.Support the preparation of responses to Official Information Act (OIA) requests, Parliamentary Questions (WPQs), and statutory reporting requests.
Provide actionable insights to the CPO, Principal Advisor, and the wider People & Culture team to support strategic planning.Identify and support initiatives to improve systems and processes, ensuring data-driven decision-making across the organisation.Help to cultivate a mature data culture within DOC by promoting best practices, sharing knowledge, and supporting the standardisation of data management and reporting practices.Minimum Requirements:Good data analysis skills capable of not only understanding and interpreting data but also crafting clear, impactful insights and explanations.Ability to analyse and translate complex data into insightful, actionable recommendations.Strong communication skills, with the ability to tailor information to different audiences.Sound writing skills and ability to draft and produce content for presentations, papers and letter responses in collaboration with others.Sound understanding of public sector accountability, including responding to Official Information Act requests, Parliamentary questions, and Select Committee inquiries.Knowledge of information governance and compliance practices, including the Privacy Act and Public Service Commission reporting standards.Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across teams and gain trust easily.Ability to collaborate across diverse teams and integrate information into clear, actionable insights.Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify issues, address risks, and recommend improvements.Experience or exposure to people data and systems and understanding of a people function (human resources and organisational development).Apply online with a CV and cover letter that highlights your relevant skills, experience and motivation for joining Te Papa Atawhai.
