Child Welfare, Youth & Family Services (Community Services & Development)EaseUp is a community-focused mobile service dedicated to supporting rangatahi (youth aged 12-24) who are facing challenges related to mental health and/or alcohol and other drug (AOD) issues. Our team of clinicians and peer support workers collaborate with rangatahi and their whanau to provide brief, effective interventions that empower youth to manage their mental and physical well-being.We are looking for three Full-Time Senior Peer Support Specialists to join our teams in Henderson, Mount Wellington, and Glenfield. Using your lived experience, you will provide peer support and mentorship to rangatahi, empowering them in their recovery journey. You'll also contribute to the development of peer-led services and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure holistic and integrated care.Key Responsibilities:Build supportive, trusting relationships with rangatahi and their whanau.Use lived experience to inspire hope and facilitate recovery.Provide mentoring and support to Peer Support Specialists.Collaborate with clinicians and external services to meet client needs.Advocate for rangatahi and help them engage in community activities.Contribute to service development initiatives and ensure the peer support perspective is represented within the leadership team.We are looking for compassionate individuals with lived experience of mental health or addiction recovery, combined with a passion for empowering rangatahi. You'll bring excellent communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively, and a commitment to cultural responsiveness.Required Qualifications & Experience:Certificate in Peer Support (Level 4 in Health and Wellbeing or equivalent).Experience in mental health, addiction, or youth services.Training in practice supervision and mentoring is desirable.A full, clean NZ driver's license.At Ka Puta Ka Ora Emerge Aotearoa, we are committed to supporting our kaimahi in their professional growth and well-being.
