Ko ta matou mahi – Our Role The Operations Manager – Events and Guarding will report through to the South Island Manager and hold a key position in overseeing the Events and Guard Services business unit in the Christchurch area.  This role will provide outstanding service to our clients and work in partnership to ensure the highest level of delivery and customer service.  This role will be based out of our Sockburn, Christchurch office. Key Responsibilities: Assisting with development and implementation of comprehensive security plans for events, including risk assessments, emergency response strategies and crowd control measures. Oversight of event and guarding operations, delivery and team managementEnsure compliance with local laws, safety regulations and specific security protocols Developing and maintaining strategic relationships with key customers at an operational levelStakeholder engagement, attending all event-related meetings serving as the primary point of contact for assigned clients and ensuring active participation and representation with key stakeholdersAssisting in the preparation of budget, business plans and monthly forecastsIdentify recruitment and training requirements, supporting of the process alongside HR and ensuring compliance Nga pumanawatanga ou – What you will bring Demonstrated experience within Operational ManagementHolds, or has the ability to get, a Certificate of Approval (COA)Demonstrated experience in security managementStrong leadership and team management skills with operational staffFamiliarity with crowd management strategies, emergency response protocols and local safety regulations preferredExcellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with clients, staff and inter-agency partnersCurrent full NZ Drivers LicenseExcellent computer literacy (including Microsoft Office Suite, databases, and event software) Nou te rourou – What's in it for you: Competitive salary and opportunity to make this role your ownCompany vehicle, laptop, phoneAccess to a suite of employee benefits Join us and leverage your skills in a role where you'll make a significant impact, driving business success and contributing to a culture of excellence and customer satisfaction. Apply today to take the next step in your career with a company that values your expertise and dedication to excellence.
