This role is within an inpatient setting, working with people who have significant medical conditions and require a hospital admission.
You will work closely with a team of Occupational Therapists and other Allied Health Assistants and be part of a wider multidisciplinary team.
The position involves working under the direction of Occupational Therapists in the smooth running of the service provision and delivery of activities and treatments within the ward setting.This involves 1:1 patient activities including equipment setup and education, supporting patients with practicing independent activities of daily living such as transferring, personal cares, and domestic tasks.
There will be the need to follow treatment plans and to support patients in activities in a group.About YouYou will bring a strong desire to be part of a team with an eagerness to be your best and be dedicated to continued learning and striving for the best patient outcomes.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to follow directions are essential to your success in delivering treatment in a rehabilitation hospital environment.
You will also have good basic computer skills.
