Explore more on Cubic.com. Job Details:Job SummaryThe Senior Data Analyst plays a key role in providing analytical insights and developing reporting solutions to support strategic business decisions. This position is responsible for working with large datasets, building and maintaining reports using SAP, Power BI, and SQL for both Oracle and SQL Server databases. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, be adept at problem-solving, and have the ability to transform raw data into actionable insights to drive business growth. This position requires collaboration with external customers, and across departments to identify key metrics, optimize performance, and support overall organisational goals.Essential Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesData Analysis and Reporting:Develop, maintain, and improve reports and dashboards using SAP, Power BI, and other BI tools.Perform deep-dive analysis using SQL (Oracle and SQL Server) to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights.Gather business requirements from stakeholders and translate them into technical specifications for data analysis and reporting.Performance AssuranceDevelop, maintain, and automate KPI reporting dashboards to track and monitor key performance metrics, ensuring alignment with contractual requirements.Analyze data trends and performance metrics, performing root cause analysis (RCA) to identify underlying issues impacting KPI results and recommending corrective actions.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define KPI requirements and ensure data accuracy, consistency, and availability for performance monitoring.Provide actionable insights through detailed reports and presentations, highlighting key drivers of performance variations and opportunities for improvement.Lead the investigation and resolution of KPI-related issues, working closely with operational and technical teams to implement long-term solutions and process improvements.Analytics Development:Design, develop, and implement data models, reports, and analytics solutions that support business intelligence and decision-making.Utilize SQL and other analytical tools to extract, manipulate, and present data in meaningful ways.Lead efforts to automate data processes and improve the efficiency of current workflows.Collaboration and Communication:Work closely with customers and business units to understand their data needs and ensure that the reports and insights provided meet their requirements.Present complex data findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to ensure data integrity, quality, and availability.Continuous Improvement:Identify opportunities to optimize reporting processes and implement best practices for data management and analysis.Stay up to date on the latest industry trends, tools, and techniques in data analytics and business intelligence.Minimum Job RequirementsEducation:Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.Experience:7+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related field.Strong hands-on experience with SAP and Power BI for developing reports and dashboards.High proficiency with SQL in both Oracle and SQL Server environments.Proven experience in data analysis, data modeling, and the development of analytical solutions.Experience working with large, complex datasets and the ability to transform data into actionable business insights.Skills:Advanced proficiency in SQL (Oracle and SQL Server) and the ability to write complex queries.Strong knowledge of SAP and Power BI for reporting and data visualization.Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.Strong communication and presentation skills to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Familiarity with data governance and best practices in data management.Worker Type: Employee
