This role involves creating targeted messaging, positioning our products to meet the specific needs of government agencies, and driving demand through tailored marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the public sector, experience in marketing B2G SaaS products, and a passion for making a difference through technology.Key ResponsibilitiesGo-to-Market Strategy for Government Sector:Develop and implement a comprehensive go-to-market strategy for Starboard targeting government agencies and entities.Conduct market research to understand the unique challenges and opportunities within the government sector and use insights to shape product positioning and messaging.Define the value proposition for government customers, highlighting how Starboard's solutions address specific regulatory, compliance, and operational needs.Messaging and Positioning:Craft clear, compelling messaging that communicates the benefits of Starboard to government stakeholders, including decision-makers and end-users.Develop and maintain a deep understanding of government procurement processes, regulations, and priorities to ensure that marketing materials align with sector-specific requirements.Collaborate with the product management team to ensure that product features and enhancements are effectively communicated to the market.Content Development and Campaigns:Create targeted marketing content, including white papers, case studies, webinars, and presentations, that speaks directly to the needs and pain points of government customers.Lead the development of sector-specific marketing campaigns that drive awareness, lead generation, and customer acquisition within the government sector.Partner with the sales team to develop sales enablement materials that support the government sales process, including RFP responses and proposal templates.Customer and Market Insights:Gather and analyse customer feedback, market trends, and competitive intelligence to inform product development and marketing strategies.Act as the voice of the customer within Starboard, ensuring that the needs and challenges of government customers are reflected in product roadmaps and marketing initiatives.Monitor government technology trends and policy changes that may impact the market demand for Starboard.Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, sales, and customer success, to ensure alignment on government sector objectives and initiatives.Build and maintain relationships with key industry influencers, partners, and government bodies to enhance Starboard's reputation and visibility in the public sector.Represent Starboard at industry conferences, trade shows, and government events to promote our solutions and network with potential customers.Role Requirements and CompetenciesProven experience as a Senior Product Marketer or similar role, with a focus on the government sector within a global B2B SaaS or technology company.Strong understanding of B2B SaaS markets, with experience in creating and executing go-to-market strategies for government customers.Excellent ability to translate complex technical features into clear, customer-focused value propositions that resonate with government audiences.Experience in developing and managing marketing campaigns that drive demand and support sales efforts.Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to craft compelling messaging and content that drives engagement and sales.Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret market data, customer insights, and competitive intelligence.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.How to applyPlease submit your CV and a cover letter via Seek, stating your motivation for this position.Please know that your application will be read by a human.
