We are looking for a full-time Production Lab Technician to oversee production operations, including assembly, processing, and/or packaging.
The position is located in Hamilton Matangi, working 2nd Shift Hours – 15:00 to 23:30.
Starting pay is $27.37 per hour.The Production Lab Technician has primary accountability for setting production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, materials supply, staffing resources, and volume required to meet demand to ensure maximum production quantity and quality.You WillEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Follow Standard Operating Procedures and maintain lab documentation.Learn other ancillary processes throughout the production lab as business needs necessitate, such as but not limited to:Centrifuge/tubes tableSample makingWashing dishesIncoming quality controlTroubleshoot issues that arise.
Communicate issues with appropriate personnel (leads, supervisors, manager, or support group).Provide ideas for improvement in the work environment (relentless improvement and/or RIB cards).Maintain professional verbal and written communications with co-workers, internal and external customers, and vendors at all times.Experience in a laboratory or equivalent production environment is preferred but not essential; all training will be provided.Strong attention to detail and focus on maintaining the highest level of quality at all times.Adhere to company values and the code of conduct.RequirementsThe Essentials:Must be eligible to work in New Zealand.Must possess a valid driver's license.Ability to perform basic maths.Ability to use a computer, keyboard, and mouse to accomplish work tasks (includes but is not limited to the ability to look at computer monitor screens for the entirety of assigned shift).Ability to perform multiple tasks at the same time.Ability to work well within a small team environment.Working Conditions:Stand for long periods of time.Monitor equipment and computer for long periods of time.Exposure to chemicals occasionally (PPE is provided).Equal Employment OpportunitiesGenus is an equal opportunity employer.
