This includes first article builds where component designs and methods of manufacture are not yet solidified, requiring the Technician to be able to think critically and suggest improvement ideas to Development and Manufacturing Engineers.
As a Technician, you will be hands-on, working with tools, equipment and/or facilities to build, launch or test Rocket Lab launch vehicles and components.
Your responsibilities directly contribute to the overall production and launch schedule.EXPERIENCE:Trade qualified in relevant industryMust be able to demonstrate 4+ years of relevant industry experienceStrong track record in producing and testing R&D components.Hands-on technical experience problem solving mechanical/electro-mechanical systems.ESSENTIAL:Precision mechanical assemblyOperation of mechanical, electrical and automated test equipmentComfortable working to exacting standards, including cleanliness for oxygen serviceHave a working understanding of standard industry ESDHave a good level of eyesight and be able to inspect assemblies to a high workmanship standardBe able to manufacture components to a high workmanship standard at a good pace.DESIRABLE:Excellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenThe ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as autonomouslyAble to read, understand and follow but also develop manufacturing instructions and drawingsA high work ethic, always seeking more responsibility.
