The key focus of the part-time Lecturer in Business Administration role is to facilitate and enhance the learning experience of students by delivering high-quality instruction. The role will be pivotal in inspiring and mentoring the next generation of learners, making a meaningful contribution to the field of education.We are taking applications now but appointing in January 2025The appointing salary for this role will be between $73,425 and $75,913, dependent on skills and experience.The Lecturer in Business Administration is based in our EIT School of Computing | Te Pukenga reporting to the Head of School – Computingand will be responsible for:Course Development and Delivery: Continuously assess and adapt course content, instructional materials, and methods to suit evolving contexts, including blended and flexible delivery techniques.Student Support: Provide necessary assistance to students and collaborate with student support services to facilitate their support.Assessment and Evaluation: Oversee assessment and evaluation procedures, conduct internal and external assessment moderation, and maintain comprehensive student records.Professional Engagement: Stay current with advancements in teaching subjects through community and industry interactions, reading, and research, and actively engage in professional associations and groups.To be successful in this role you will have:Relevant Qualifications: Possess a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent knowledge gained through experience.Teaching Experience: Experience in teaching across various delivery modes, including face-to-face and online.Skills: Well-developed oral, written, interpersonal, and leadership skills, along with good organizational and administrative abilities.Cultural Competence: An understanding and appreciation of cultural issues, with a commitment to creating a culturally sensitive working environment and empathy with Maori language and culture.As an inclusive and supportive employer, we value diversity and want to encourage anyone interested to apply, regardless of whether you tick all the boxes or not.We know that people from underrepresented groups and women in particular don't apply for roles if they're not a 100% match, but we're not looking for perfection, we're looking for potential.We want to see the real you in your application, and welcome the real you on board if you come and work with us.
