Your Impact:
Reporting to the Head of Farm Services and based in New Zealand, ideally, you will be responsible for regularly liaising with farmers and key stakeholders as you uphold and manage the on-farm compliance programs across New Zealand Raw Milk Supply Program and A1 Protein Free (A1PF) integrity of raw milk in the North Island. With a strong understanding of dairy systems and New Zealand compliance you will review all on-farm and partner programmes to ensure they align with regulations and internal standards.
More specifically, you will be involved in:
Oversight and responsibility for the management of the a2MC supplier base, milk supply, and commercial dairy supply chain in the North Island.
Maintain regular contact with farms and key stakeholders, to develop strong relationships.
Engage with industry to be proactive in knowledge and understanding of incoming regulations, requirements, and changes.
Lead in the development, review, and roll-out of on-farm programmes internally driven, partner driven, and regulatory driven.
Work with farmers to execute regional environment and sustainability requirements.
Work with farmers to educate and assess on a2MC specific requirements and programmes.
Complete physical farm audits for all a2MC farms as per the agreed audit timetable.
Manage and review the governance programme for internal standards, audits, and auditors.
Lead the review of the a2MC farmer manual and Raw Milk Supply Program.
Drive the implementation and support farms to produce a farm environmental plan and environmental best practices aligned with a2MC targets.
Assist and contribute to the development, review, and implementation of the a2MC Corporate Sustainability strategy where required.
Assist and contribute to the development of the Dairy Supply Nature Positive Strategy where required.
What you will bring:
A minimum of 3 years of dairy system experience is essential.
Previous experience in a role dealing directly with farmers or the auditing of farms is critical.
A previous role in farm compliance management would be advantageous.
Familiarity and working knowledge of New Zealand regulations.
IT proficiency in the MS Office Suite, with Promapp experience ideal; however, training can be provided.
Willingness to travel to Auckland fortnightly (if situated outside of the region), to the South Island monthly, and to Australia twice a year.
Bachelor of Environmental/Agricultural Science or similar related field.
