We service many markets including Europe – specifically the Netherlands and Germany, The UK and North America.We are looking for an experienced New Zealand tour consultant to join our team. The role will require liaising with both our offshore clients and New Zealand based suppliers to provide quotations for clients and then prepare travel arrangements and follow this through to working with passengers when in New Zealand. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years experience in the New Zealand tourism industry working with both Group and FIT's.Job DescriptionYour prime purpose as a FIT / Group Consultant is to provide innovative itinerary concepts with precise pricing, with fast turn around times.As a consultant, you will build strong, lasting relationships with client accounts, deliver exceptional customer service, and drive the successful conversion of quotes into bookings.Key responsibilities will include:Process bookings for Group and FIT enquiries, manage amendments and cancellations daily, ensuring same-day responses where possible.Accurately enter all bookings into our tour software, ensuring correct status and margins.Collaborate with team members to gather essential information for agent requests, including quotes.Respond to agent inquiries and provide precise quote calculations.Address customer service issues promptly to maintain client satisfaction.Actively engage with customer feedback and propose suitable resolutions for inquiries.Contribute proactively to the team.LocationThe position is based in Christchurch.The role is full time.ExperienceExcellent knowledge of New Zealand tourism product.Must be proficient in MS Word and Excel.Minimum of 2 years experience working for an inbound tour operator.German and or Dutch language skills are an advantage but not essential.Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in New Zealand?How many years' experience do you have as a Tour Consultant?Which of the following Microsoft Office products are you experienced with?Do you have customer service experience?
