With a focus on delivering quality housing and development projects in various areas of the housing continuum, UPL aims to enhance the lives of our community while operating as a successful, forward-thinking organisation.We are looking for an experienced and skilled Construction Contracts Manager (CCM) to lead the procurement processes, delivery of the construction element of development projects, manage construction contracts, and contribute to the continued success of our in-house construction capability.About the roleYou will oversee the management and execution of construction contracts for a variety of development projects.
Working closely with the Development Managers and Construction Site Manager, you will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
This role is critical in ensuring UPL's construction capability aligns with organisational objectives while driving innovation and efficiency across projects.
Key responsibilities include:Leadership: Manage and collaborate with the Construction Site Manager to meet project milestones and financial deliverables.Contract Management: Lead the procurement, implementation, and management of construction contracts, including labour-only and subcontractor agreements.Project Delivery: Ensure the successful completion of construction projects within agreed timeframes, budgets, and quality standards.Procurement: Source contractors, materials, and products while maintaining long-term relationships.Innovation: Continued investigation into sustainability, efficiencies and innovative building methodologies, design and materials.Financial Oversight: Manage project budgets, providing accurate reporting and cost control.About youWe are seeking someone with the following skills and experience:A tertiary qualification in property, construction, or a related field.Proven experience in construction contract management and project delivery within the residential or commercial development sectors of more than three years.
Ideally experience in multi-unit residential builds.Familiarity with New Zealand construction legislation and best practices.Strong skills in procurement, tendering, and budget management.Demonstrated ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.Leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across teams and stakeholders.Demonstrated Quantity Surveying or trade background is desirable.Multi-unit residential build and vertical-build / commercial build experience.At Urban Plus Ltd, you'll have the chance to contribute to meaningful projects that positively impact our community, while being part of a supportive and innovative organisation that values collaboration and professional growth.
