This is a permanent, full-time role that starts in January 2025.
The programme is delivered in a distinctive Maori learning environment,rooted in the principles of whanaungatanga (family relationships),rangatiratanga (leadership), tuhonohono (engagement), and mauitanga(innovation).Mou (About you)To be considered for this role you will bepassionate about teaching and want to inspire tauira from all walks of life.
Ideally, you will hold:A Bachelor in Matauranga Maori Level 7, related to Rongoa or Hauora Maori Adult Teaching qualification (NZCATT) Level 5 or equivalent or willing to complete during the first year of employment.Either attest equivalence from NZQA standards required to moderate this programme or hold a New Zealand Certificate in Assessment Practice Level 4Full and current New Zealand Driver's LicenseExperience in the industry-related sector, including work placement, skills development, and career planning.
Teaching experience and a background working with Maori and Pacific Island communities are also required.Minimum of 3 years' teaching experienceMinimum of 3 years' experience using traditional Maori healing methods, or other relevant work-related to Rongoa Maori would be an advantage As a kaupapa Maori organisation, your willingnessto participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of AhuatangaMaori (values, culture and tikanga) will be key.Tonoa itenei ra
