You will aid the Director of Snowsports & Slope Operations in leading Snowplanet's departmental teams and managing Snowplanet's day to day operations. The Shift Operations Manager (SOM)  is responsible for ensuring all our guests enjoy their Snowplanet experience and that each shift is run smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for training and coaching staff on an ad-hoc basis as development opportunities are identified and ensuring a high level of service delivery is maintained at all times. You will oversee all cashiering functions whilst on shift and be actively involved in service delivery and facility operation. Leading by example in providing outstanding customer service, your communication skills will be excellent. You will have the knowledge and experience to communicate professionally and efficiently in person, over the phone and via email. You will have a great eye for detail, to ensure all reservations or tickets are correct, and can foresee any possible issues before these impact our guests. You will enjoy a fast paced environment, and will be able to strive in an area with continual changes.
You will be a people person with extensive knowledge and experience in operations and customer service. You will be able to work on a rostered basis including in evenings and weekends. You will use your people skills to build and lead Snowplanet's teams to great standards, leading by example every day. Being a great team player, you will also excel in individual work, being able to meet deadlines for projects you will own to completion.
You must be flexible in your approach to work, and have the capacity to multi task. You must be able to work under your initiative and be able to problem solve. You must be a confident decision maker and be able to foresee problems before these arise. As part of our Management team, you will work closely with our Director of Snowsports & Slope Operations, General Manager, Guest Services Manager, and Food and Beverage Manager to ensure the smooth running of the facility.
