Mō te tūnga | About the role

Reporting directly to the CIO, this newly created role offers an exciting opportunity to guide our technology landscape. You will ensure the effective use of technology to meet the needs of the New Zealand Parliament. As a senior team member, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing integrated solutions, ensuring that all technological initiatives support the overall business strategy, driving growth and innovation. This role will see work closely with various teams, stakeholders and vendors to define requirements, design applications and infrastructure, and oversee the technical delivery of critical digital solutions. You will be involved in mapping out interdependencies across projects, advising on technology options, and ensuring the successful integration and testing of solutions.

Your CV will demonstrate the following:

  • Experience: senior level experience in solution design, solution architecture or digital advisory role with a proven track record in providing technical leadership and facilitating strong relationships across business and technology teams.
  • Technical Skills: solid understanding of digital technologies and platforms, domain expertise including cloud computing, data analytics, and cybersecurity.
  • Soft Skills: strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to build consensus among diverse stakeholders.

The appointing salary range for this role is $138,839.00 to $177,349.00 per annum. Appointments will be based on skills and experience (please note, the full salary range extends beyond this to allow for tenure progression).
