About The Role As a Composite Technician, you will be responsible for manufacturing and assembling composite materials used in the aircraft industry. This includes fabrication of screens and windows. You will use jigs and tools to manufacture components and make sure that the quality is of a high standard. This is a busy role; you will need to move at pace and be organised in order to succeed. Examples Of Duties And Responsibilities Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications. Preparing jigs and ensuring they are properly prepared for composite. Mixing and applying resins, adhesives, and other composite materials. Performing layup of composite materials on jigs, ensuring proper ply orientation, and vacuum bagging as required. Trimming, drilling, and finishing composite parts to meet precise tolerances. Conducting quality inspections and ensuring all products meet specifications and standards. Skills And Experience Proven experience as a Composite Technician or similar role in composite manufacturing. Knowledge of composite materials, manufacturing processes, and safety protocols. Ability to operate hand and power tools used in composite fabrication. Familiarity with vacuum bagging and other composite curing methods. Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
