We are also committed to ensuring Oranga Tamariki partners with hapū, iwi and Māori organisations to find appropriate solutions for tamariki in need.Mō te tūnga | About the roleThe Enterprise Portfolio Management Office is looking for a Senior Project Manager to support the delivery of a high-profile programme within our Change Investment Portfolio - the Residences and Homes Transformation Programme.The programme is currently piloting improvements for our Residences and Homes kaimahi, making it both safer for kaimahi and increasing staff presence and safety for rangatahi and tamariki in our care. A need has arisen for an additional Senior Project Manager to lead out a project delivering initiatives across various workstreams within this programme. The improvements across these various workstreams are designed to both increase safety, wellbeing and capability of our Residences and Homes operations and create an improved experience for those in our care.This is a significant piece of work with a passionate and engaged Executive Sponsor. This role would suit a Senior Project Manager who is adept at working at a fast pace, is comfortable working with ambiguity and rapidly changing environments due to the sensitive nature of our work and is able to apply pragmatic and flexible project hygiene to their work.Day to day you will be working within the Programme and taking vision and direction from the Executive Sponsor. However, you will also be part of the EPMO's Project Management Practice who will assist you with docking into the organisation's governance structures, monthly reporting and delivery frameworks. We are looking for an individual who understands how to work in this matrix reporting environment and will not only deliver to the programme's needs, but also bring value and experience to the PM and EPMO communities of practice.The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for leading out the delivery of numerous workstreams. To be successful, you will have:10+ years' experience as a Project Manager or 5+ as a Senior Project Manager or Programme Manager.Highly developed planning, financial, risk, dependency and resource management competencies.Proven ability to build, lead and support large project teams to achieve high performance and successful delivery.Prior experience in the Youth/Justice sector would be advantageous.Accomplished at building strong, productive and enduring relationships with project and business stakeholders.Accomplished at using portfolio and project governance groups proactively as an enabler to successful delivery.Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural issues and concerns, in particular; knowledge of tikanga Māori, and Pacific peoples' culture.Nōu te rourou | What's in it for youOranga Tamariki offers an impartial remuneration package that offers progression annually for experience through tenure.
