Description

We're one of the largest NICUs in NZ, with a fantastic, multidisciplinary team. Wellington NICU is a 40 cot unit, with close to 1000 admissions per year, providing intensive care for medical and surgical infants from central New Zealand.

We have a strong emphasis on practicing and contributing to international best practice. Our team thrives on collaboration across the disciplines. We work together to stay up to date with current practice with constant quality initiatives providing a dynamic and progressive workplace.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Vocationally registered in Neonatal-Perinatal medicine with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ)
  • FRACP or equivalent qualification and be able to register for vocational registration with the MCNZ
  • CCPU or similar qualification and experience in neonatal clinician performed ultrasounds (cardiac and cranial)
  • Experience in follow-up of infants with complex medical issues and high risk of neurodevelopmental impairment (Training and experience in General Movement Assessments and Bayley Scales of Infant and Toddler Development would be highly valued)
  • Work in collaboration with multidisciplinary team
  • Able to provide consistently high standards of medical care
