Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join our multidisciplinary team as a Neonatologist at Wellington Regional Hospital. As a key member of our leadership group, you will contribute to international best practice and help us provide high-quality care to infants and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional medical care to patients in our 40-cot unit, providing intensive care for medical and surgical infants.
  • Contribute to our busy neonatal retrieval service, transporting patients via air and ground.
  • Participate in medical and long-term neurodevelopmental follow-up clinics.
  • Stay up-to-date with current practices through quality initiatives and professional development.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Vocationally registered in Neonatal-Perinatal medicine with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ).
  • FRACP or equivalent qualification and ability to register for vocational registration with the MCNZ.
  • CCPU or similar qualification and experience performing neonatal clinician-performed ultrasounds.
  • Experience in following up infants with complex medical issues and high risk of neurodevelopmental impairment.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $280,000 - $360,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience. In addition, we provide a range of benefits, including professional development opportunities, flexible working arrangements, and a supportive work environment.
