This might be the right opportunity for you: Ingka Investments Management NZ is recruiting for a Financial Controller as part of the New Zealand Forestland team.
As Financial Controller you will act as a bridge between the NZ business and our international accounting and finance functions. You will meet high professional standards while providing accurate, relevant and user-friendly accounting & reporting services to support both the NZ business and the overall Forestland Portfolio.
To be effective in this role, you need:
A bachelor's degree in accounting/finance/economics.At least 5 years' experience.Comprehensive financial management and accounting experience with good understanding of NZ GAAP.Excellent reporting and communication skills.Knowledge and ability to provide systems that support data and reporting.Ideally, you have also gained some experience or knowledge in at least one of the following areas:
The NZ Forest Industry.International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).Data science and analytics.Working across borders with differing time zones.You demonstrate good judgment, high level of integrity, trustworthiness, and maturity. You can prioritise and take sound and common-sense decisions. You get energized by contributing to overall growth and results through collaboration and get inspired by working together in a multicultural and multinational environment. You are fluent in English (both spoken and written) and, of course, you share and live the IKEA culture and values.
Your responsibilities Ensure relevant, complete, accurate and timely Accounting and Reporting Financial and Management reporting based on standard global frameworks and local legal requirements.Set up and maintain the financial structures to follow-up cost and performance and support policy making in line with global frameworks.Perform variance analysis, reviewing and maintaining reported actuals and forecasts and first level of commentary.Work closely together with Business Steering function and local reporting teams to create insight in costs and performance and support business steering.Coordinate the budget, forecast and cost follow up of the investment portfolios and functions including preparation of management reporting.Responsible for an efficient and effective management/service fee recharging process (calculation, recharging, agreements etc.).Work with the Group framework teams and functional leadership to minimize deviations from standard global frameworks for business needs and compliance reasons and secure effective ways of working.Contribute to global projects to develop financial operations and reporting.Document internal financial controls and review of effectiveness.Secure and maintain a connection with and between core areas, business owners, group functions, process teams within the Ingka Group.Secure cross-organizational readiness and continued business growth in terms of competence, performance and succession through enabling an end-to-end approach.Ensure a safe environment for co-workers and external consultants and contractors in accordance with Ingka policies.Our team within IKEA Ingka Investments is one of the 3 pillars of the Ingka Group, acting as a strategic partner to Ingka Retail (IKEA stores) and Ingka Centres, by securing financial strength for future growth and by making investments that contribute to making Ingka Group the world's major multichannel home furnishing retailer and to achieving its People & Planet Positive strategy.
