We are seeking a highly confident and professional Commercial Broker to join our team in Christchurch. In this role, you will work collaboratively to service a portfolio of clients, providing them with timely and trusted advice. As a key relationship holder and adviser, you will be responsible for risk consulting, managing renewals, building and maintaining stakeholder relationships, and driving growth within the existing portfolio while also pursuing new business opportunities.You will have the opportunity to inherit and expand upon an established and profitable book of client business. Join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in shaping the success of Gallagher.Key Accountabilities:Demonstrate our values, through actions that help the business achieve its mission, to position our clients to financially survive any insurable event.Maintain client relationships by delivering an outstanding client experience and ensuring trust and brand loyalty.Proactive management of the renewal book ensuring all actions are carried out in a timely manner.Deliver product advice and services that are appropriate to specific needs and are compliant with legislation and service agreements.Proactively cross-sell and promote products to clients including premium funding, cyber risk, domestic insurance, and life and health.Build knowledge and understanding of your clients' business and industry market to provide trusted advice and to grow your portfolio.Develop new client relationships through the effective use of networks and own research.Establish and implement a new business strategy to generate and achieve portfolio growth.Develop and exceed annual budget and goals.Coach the Broker Support Staff to develop their knowledge and capabilities so that they become able to manage their own client base.Skills and Experience:Previous commercial insurance broking experience (minimum of 5 years).Strong relationship building, influencing, and negotiation skills.Proven ability to develop and manage complex client accounts.Experience in developing new business opportunities.A strong sense of teamwork and a committed work ethic.Demonstrated understanding of NZ insurance policies and regulations.Certificate in Financial Services (NZQA Level 5).About us:At Gallagher, we’ve been helping to protect what’s important to people and businesses for more than 95 years.
