Servicing two remote yet modern coastal towns with nearby mine sites, your bus runs will be to and from the mines, the Port itself, airport to accommodation transfers, and public town and school bus services.
Transporting passengers safely and timely, ensuring their comfort. Adherence to all traffic regulations and company procedures. High quality customer service and professional demeanour. Performing daily safety checks on your vehicle, all defects reported for repair. Follow designated routes and schedules, being flexible for route variations. Immediate reporting of any and all incidents involving vehicle or passengers. Following all company policies, safety procedures and customer service protocols. Assisting with duties as required at the depot yard when not driving (yard work, washing buses etc). ABOUT YOU Two years' experience driving passenger buses for a private or public bus company. Hold or be willing to obtain a heavy vehicle drivers' license of LR, MR, or HR vehicle class (HR preferred) with the Western Australia Department of Transport (NZ Class 2 or Class 4). Ability to obtain a Passenger Transport Driver Authority with the Western Australia Department of Transport (includes a medical and national police check) You will pass a national police clearance and other relevant background checks. Clean driving history with no previous disqualifications. You will pass a pre-employment medical (to be completed in Perth prior to relocation). Able to obtain a Working with Children Check. First Aid certification and fatigue management training (provided by the company if necessary). Strong English fluency. You must pass IELTS Level 5 in all sections. Confident working in a remote region and adhering to safety regulations specific to mining and remote operations.
