Become a bus driver

If you're over 18, have had your full licence for more than two years, and want a full-time job where you won't be stuck in an office, then Auckland Transport's Bus operators want to hear from you.

You don't need a degree or experience. You do need to be responsible and want a job where you get o meet new people every day and where the view from your window is always changing. Of course, you also need to be entitled to work in New Zealand and meet traffic, criminal and medical requirements.

If you do meet the grade, you'll be paid to train for a full Class 2 licence. When qualified, you'll join a whānau dedicated to giving Aucklanders easy journeys to everywhere they work, shop, play and live. You might get to drive one of our growing fleet of snazzy new electric buses too

Auckland Transport does not directly recruit bus drivers. Below are the contact numbers and career link addresses for our bus operators.
